A few of the people who purchased and used the device for a very short time, found the display experienced distortion and eventual complete failure. The device was repaired and eventually replaced by the merchandiser, but it left a very sour taste for Sony tablets and Sony products in general. If the user leaves the device in standby mode, the battery suffers severe battery drain and couples with the fact the Sony has less battery life than most other tablets, does not make it the tablet of choice. Videos tend to skip and stutter when the orientation of the tablet is changed is another annoyance found by some users. Downloading videos takes more time than necessary as the device slips into sleep mode and suspends the download until the screened is awakened and the download continues.

4. The Overall Thought
For the price, the Sony SGPT111US/S has great bang for the buck. The many capabilities makes it the must have device when going about your busy day. It is an all in one device that gives you freedom and not to be tethered to a desk top or even a laptop in one specific location. The battery can be preserved by shutting it off after each use, but for people who use the device constantly, find that annoying, especially since the tablet has a longer than most tablets to boot up. People who used this product but found problems concur the problems can be eliminated with some software upgrades.
